The German Toy Road is a 300 km road of pure fun; the route lies between the city of Nuremberg and Erfurt.
You really don’t have to be a child to enjoy this route where you will find toys of all kinds spread across showrooms, workshops, museums and, fun parks.Have fun with the toys, learn how the toys go from production to the children’s playrooms, and also learn about the rich cultural landscape between Nuremberg and Waltershausen.
The 300-km route stretches from Nuremberg in the heart of Franconia and the Thuringian state capital of Erfurt.The road is famous for its unusually enjoyable theme and a wealth of tradition, and its a dream place for kids (but believe me, even adults will enjoy this place).
The toy museums provide deep insights into the cultural and economic history of the two regions and also tells you more about the difficult working conditions under which toys were made to delight children.
