Use These Toys to Educate Kids
Parents should use these animal toys to teach kids more about the animal world.
For example, many people think that zoos are good because they help to conserve and populate. But if you think carefully, the only reason why we need to repopulate some species is because of poaching. Isn’t it?
So, as parents, you can talk about poaching and how it is affecting the animal world.
A zoo, while being a popular picnic spot, places restriction to the movement of beautiful and unique animals, which deserve to be in their natural habitat.
Mahatma Gandhi rightly said, “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.”
In most countries, animals are caged in zoos for the sake of entertainment of human beings, the zoos are not well-maintained, and several animals die in the zoos from sicknesses caused by unsuitable climate, use of drugs and sedatives, unfamiliar parasites and also contact with humans.
So, zoos should not be like prisons for animals, and instead should ensure the animals have sufficient open space which reflects their natural habitat, and visitors should ensure they do not cause nuisance to these animals.
Also, Zoos may be required to ensure the survival of certain species of animals.
In the zoos, the animals are protected, cared for, well-fed and given medical aid when they are afflicted with ailments. If these creatures are left free in their habitat, especially the ones that are unique, they could soon lose their existence.
Species are the building blocks of biodiversity. However, today, due to unprecedented proportions of threat caused by urban sprawl, pollution and anthropogenic intervention, biodiversity is shrinking. As the environment in which these animals live is on the verge of collapse, animals are trying to invade the environment where human beings live.
And this is equally dangerous for both animals and humans.
In these adverse conditions, a safer haven for some animals could be the zoo. By putting certain animals in zoos, the could be saved from animal cruelty, from predators, hunters and poachers.

Llamas are selling more than Unicorns: Best animal toys for kids
The toy industry has historically thrived off of popular animals like cats, Pound Puppies, bunnies and bears, but it seems the llama is now having its time under the sun.
While we all love cute animals that are soft and sweet, kids find llamas to be funny-looking as well. They blink, they grin, they spit, “They make you happy, they make you laugh.”
No wonder then that llama toys dominated the landscape at the recent American International Toy Fair. Llamas — and their smaller cousins, alpacas — were on display on almost every booth. There were squishy llamas. Plush llamas. Sequined llamas. Knit llamas. There were llama diaries, llama lip balm, llama puzzles, llama backpacks, llama pool floats, llama rockers, llama teethers and llama mobiles.
Top brands such as Slinky and Lego, the popular building toy, will be debuting llama toys soon.
“We’ve seen hedgehogs and narwhals come and go, and now llamas are what’s emerging/ People have seen dragon and dinosaur Lego, but never llamas! If it’s a hit, we’ll have more,” Michael McNally, Lego’s senior director of brand relations.
Some toy industry experts feel that the popularity of llamas means Unicorn, the mythical toy, may eventually be phased out. A lot of parents are already straying away from fantasy toys like mermaids and unicorns.

However, experts feel that Unicorns are evergreen toys, and some even feel that llamas were already on their way out, and will give way to the next animal trend, maybe a porcupine.
