German toymaker Playmobil’s 3 ft. long realistic version of the Star Trek U.S.S. Enterprise is the ultimate set for any “Star Trek” fan and can be used for playing or as a centerpiece model.
The 150-piece set measures 42 inches long (just under a meter long) x 18 inches wide, comes with figures of the the original crew, features working lights and sounds.
The spacecraft can even be controlled by your smart phone. You can control the lighting and sound effects of the Starship Enterprise using an app.
The set comes with figures of Captain Kirk, Spock (comes with Vulcan ears), Chekov, Scotty, Sulu, Ohura, and McCoy. Due to its size, there’s enough space for you to play with the original crew.
While it is a cool toy to play with, you can even use this model as a stand-out centerpiece model and it should attract a lot of attention wherever you choose to display it.

The overall idea behind this toy is great and the ship looks very much like the original, especially the use of LEDs and the miniaturized interior of the engine room. Most other replicas that I have seen are much smaller in size, they are made of plastic and look inaccurate, and also look cheap. However, this Star Trek U.S.S. Enterprise set from Playmobil indeed looks cool.
