However, despite the innumerable attractions, your day at one of the Orlando park attractions can turn sour if you haven’t prepared and planned carefully.
You can remove any hiccups before you arrive in Orlando, especially if it’s your first time, with kids, and especially if you’re not staying in a Disney theme parks resort.
Requirements (things to carry) when you visit Orlando theme parks:
- Sunscreen: Bring your favourite with you (check sunscreen factor!).
- Water Bottles: Carry ones that can be refilled at water fountains, drinks are expensive in all the parks.
- Batteries: For your digital cameras/ camcorders. These items are expensive in the parks.
- Spare Films/Rolls: Same goes for spare films, if that’s what goes in your camera.
- Snacks: Energy bars to keep your energy levels up through out the day.
- Strollers/Pushchairs: You have the option of hiring, but the charges can add up as you visit all the parks. Feel free to bring your own.
- Footwear: Make sure you wear comfortable shoes: trainers, sneakers etc.
- Mobile Phones: Just in case, you guys decide to split up for the day (if you have a large group)
- Hats: Sun in Florida can shine very brightly on you (it can be unforgiving)
- Sunglasses: Don’t forget the shades.
- Ponchos: If a wet day is scheduled; Wal-Mart, Target etc. sell them much cheaper than the Orlando theme parks.
- ID’s: Its a good idea to have some sort of ID for the kids with the following information — name, cell – mobile phone number, accommodation where you are staying etc.
- Have a Good Breakfast before you start the day.
