Keep A Record Of Your Scooter Details
If possible, keep your electric scooters serial numbers handy, and take photos of your wiring harnesses and battery connections, so that you know how it looks like, assuming you start the maintenance work and are lost mid-way. If possible, mark the position of bolts and adjusters to make the reassembly easy.
Keep your Tire Inflated
Always make sure that the tires are properly inflated. You may use a Tire Pressure guage to ensure the electric scooter tires are at the correct pressure.
Its a good Remove the battery from the charger once it’s fully charged, leaving the battery for too long can damage it. A battery gets old if it requires frequent charging, in which case you need to replace the battery with a new one.
Avoid Riding Electric Scooters On Wet Surfaces
This is more of a safety measure than a maintenance measure. Besides, water can cause malfunction of electrical components, and can also rust parts of the electric scooter.
Electric Scooter Lubrication
Scooters require regular lubrication of the chain. You should ideally clean the area before applying the lubricant. you may lubricate once every 7-10 days.
